Little Clacton: Gran takes the plunge for charity

From the archive, first published Thursday 9th Nov 2006.

A gutsy grandma is set to plummet 10,000ft to raise money for a cot death charity.

Eve Twyman's granddaughter Ruby Mae Sawford died four years ago, aged six months. The 56-year-old was nominated for a tandem skydive by Ruby's mum, Jemma Sawford - and she agreed to go ahead.

"I said I would like to do a skydive some time ago but it was a bit of surprise when I found out I had been booked for one," she said.

The jump takes place on November 26. Anyone who wants to get involved in sponsoring Mrs Twyman, should contact her on 07833 314983 or e-mail evetriker@hotmail.com
